"The session was very informative. I liked that both children and parents were involved. I particularly enjoyed the Q&A at the end as each parent had a chance to get their questions answered. It is also great to know we can contact them at any time in the future if needed. Thanks again for the invitation."

"It was really beneficial and I definitely learnt a few things which I wasn't aware of i.e. how the dentist appointments should be carried out. The session was delivered in such a way that it was easy to follow and understand. I think it really made an impact on the children by having a professional there to speak about tooth brushing as it allowed me to reference the session to my child, if she refused to brush her teeth. By doing this, she doesn't refuse and is now keen to brush her teeth for 2 minutes!! I definitely think the session should be delivered to all children and parents."

“It was very informative. I didn’t know that you shouldn’t rinse your mouth after brushing or use mouth wash and I was doing both. I would like to join more things like that when I am available.”

“I learnt so much from the session with Jo. My biggest take away was the ‘spit don’t rinse’ and the fact that I could use normal toothpaste. It’s been a game changer and my little ones are slowly adjusting. I also got a referral to the King's College Clinic so great ongoing support after the session, really great session.”

Follow–up activity in the setting with the parent - Making Healthy Smoothie Drink and Ice lolly with the children.

“I loved doing this because we got to make a healthy smoothie with the kids in the nursery. I enjoyed making smoothie at home but this session gave me ideas on how to involve the kids more in the process. The smoothies were delicious. I also loved that this was done off the feedback from the oral health session, shows that the nursery is committed to implement healthy practice.”
